AI-200 Study Hub
A study hub for AI-200: Developing AI Cloud Solutions on Azure, the exam for the Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Cloud Developer Associate certification. It is organized around the four official exam domains, because that is how the exam is scored.
Built only from official Microsoft sources. Domains, weightings, and skills come from the Microsoft Learn study guide. Training and exercises come from the official AI-200T00 course. Every exam simulator question has been fact-checked against current Microsoft Learn documentation.

What Microsoft expects you to know
The audience profile asks for proficiency in Azure SDKs and third-party SDKs used in Azure, Azure data management services, monitoring and troubleshooting, messaging and eventing, vector databases, Python, and containerized applications. Code in the exam and in this simulator is mostly Python, plus KQL, JSON, and YAML.
No official practice assessment yet
Microsoft notes that the free practice assessment for AI-200 is not currently available; it usually appears within about eight weeks of the exam leaving beta. Until then, the official exam sandbox shows the real interface, and the exam simulator here gives you real practice in every question format.
The four domains#
Weightings are official. Data management services is the heaviest domain at 25–30%, and it spans three services: Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and Azure Managed Redis.
Develop containerized solutions on Azure
Azure Container Registry and ACR Tasks, containers on App Service, Azure Container Apps revisions and KEDA scaling, AKS manifests, and troubleshooting. 26 practice questions.
20–25% Domain 2Develop AI solutions by using Azure data management services
Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL with pgvector, and Azure Managed Redis: queries, indexing, vector search, and RAG. 30 practice questions.
25–30% Domain 3Connect to and consume Azure services
Azure Service Bus queues, topics, and dead-lettering; Azure Event Grid filters, custom events, and retries; and Azure Functions triggers, bindings, and deployment. 26 practice questions.
20–25% Domain 4Secure, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure solutions

Question formats you will see#
The real exam uses several interactive formats. The simulator reproduces each one, so none of them is a surprise on the day.
| Format | What you do |
|---|---|
| Multiple choice | Choose one answer. |
| Multiple response | Choose the stated number of answers (“Choose two”). Each correct selection is worth one point. |
| Drop-down selection | Pick a value from a list in each row of a table, or in each gap of a code segment. |
| Drag and drop | Move answer choices onto the requirement each one satisfies. A choice may be used once, more than once, or not at all. |
| Build list | Move the right actions into the answer area and arrange them in order. Some items accept more than one order. |
| Yes or No | Decide whether each statement is true, often about a code segment. |
| Scenario series | The same scenario repeats with a different proposed solution each time. Decide whether each one meets the goal. You cannot go back to an earlier question in the series. |
| Case study | A company scenario with tabs for its environment and requirements, followed by several questions that refer to it. |
